THE REEL THAT PUT LOVE & FLOUR ON SILVER SPRING'S FEED
Love and Flour Bakery is one of Silver Spring's newest bakeries, and they boast an impressive assortment of pastries, drinks, and cakes. I partnered with the bakery's owner to ensure that the community knows what Love and Flour does best.

The plan
When collaborating with Vanessa Alanda, owner of Love and Flour Bakery, we agreed that we didn't want something flashy for this video. Instead, we wanted a longer reel that would get views in our specific community, and present what the bakery did well in a professional, appealing format.
The approach
On the day of the shoot, I focused on the bakery's diverse offering of products. I captured the atmosphere as well as the bakers in action, and I color graded the shots with a warm, print-film-inspired look to match the bakery's craft and atmosphere. The final edit used "Nueveyol" by Bad Bunny, on account of its online popularity, engaging nature, and connection to the bakery's Latin roots.
The release
The reel was posted on the bakery's Instagram page with local hastags, a geotag, and a collaboration with the official Downtown Silver Spring page, to ensure that it was seen by members of the community who are potential customers. Views are important, but their context matters more than their quantity.

The reel received higher-than-typical share, save, and comment rates across the board, and became one of the bakery's highest-performing pieces of content to date. The reel also recieved multiple reposts from local organizations and community pages.
